Every commission at Roux Designs begins with a conversation and ends with a piece built to last generations. Here you can follow along as current projects move through design, milling, joinery, carving, and finishing.
Altar Rail & High Altar
Our Lady of the Valley — Easthampton, MA
A full sanctuary restoration including a new altar rail spanning the width of the nave and a traditional high altar. The proposed plan shown here was developed in close collaboration with the parish building committee and the pastor.
The rail will be executed in solid white oak with turned balusters and a carved gate panel centered on the Lamb of God motif.
Altar Rail
St. Stanislaus Church — Nashua, NH
A full-width altar rail restored to the traditional style of the original church interior. This project involved fabricating new rail sections to match the existing historic profile while reinforcing the kneeler structure throughout.
The rail was delivered and installed in a single session, with the parish able to resume daily Mass the following morning.
Tabernacle
Private Commission
A freestanding tabernacle being built for a private chapel. The piece features hand-carved door panels depicting the wheat and grapevine, traditional symbols of the Eucharist, set within a classical architectural frame with pilasters and a domed crown.
Currently in the milling and rough joinery phase. Door carvings to follow.
